They are little plastic inserts, kind of like a doubled up inverted headband. They are fairly easy to use, however if you have really thin hair, you are going to want to do a little bit of teasing on your own, so the combs on the insert aren’t visible.
Wow, “bumpits.” What a name. I must confess when I first read it, I thought of the two words “bum” and “pits.” Two very lovely parts of the human body.
I also must admit I thought they were Bum Pits at first also. Not a name that sounds like you want to put it in your hair. LOL.
