Girls Gone Mild?

Friday, July 20th, 2007

One of our favorite morning shows, “Good Morning America,” features ELIZA, calling us a “slick new magazine.” Even with all the reckless celebrity influences out there, many young women are leading what is being called “the modesty movement.” Yes, of course it is still possible to be sexy and covered up at the same time. There are many positive fashion role models out there, and ELIZA Magazine strives to be one of them.

If you are on the east coast today, drop by select Whole Foods and pick up the “I’m Not A Plastic Bag” bag. JCPenney’s Brings us Chip & Pepper for Cheap

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

Chip & Pepper, the twin Los Angeles denim designers, created the line C7P, for JCPenney’s Back to School 2007. The line includes a few pairs of their surf-inspired jeans, Bermuda shorts, skirts, tees and sweatshirts. You can find them in the Junior department for girls and guys. The collection will retail from $14.99 for tops to $34.99 for jeans.

How did they get the name? The 7 happens to be on the same key as the “&” sign on the keyboard. It seems with all the designers doing their own knockoffs, something’s gotta give, and usually it’s the quality. However, a few corners cut for jeans under $40 will get me in line to at least to check them out.

The show featured fashions by Layers Clothing, Shade, Sorella Bellessa, Funky Frum, Pearl Swimwear and Twisted-Silver Jewelry. ELIZA flew in DJ Christyle from Seattle to spin. He mashed like no one — MJ‚Äôs “Rock With You,” among many others.
