The Fray tour tickets now on sale
Saturday, March 28th, 2009
Grammy Award-nominated four-piece piano rock band, The Fray, is headed on tour.
In the spring of 2002, former schoolmates Isaac Slade and Joe King reconnected and began regular jam sessions. They later recruited a full band and started recording their first album How to Save a Life, which was released in 2005.
The band chose their name “The Fray” from a suggestion bowl that was placed at a graduation party and have since named their newest album the same.¬† The Fray, released earlier this year, won the one spot on the Billboard charts.
Tickets go on sale this weekend, so don’t miss performances of their popular singles including “How to Save a Life,” “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and “You Found Me.”

Jimmy Eat World Celebrating
Monday, November 10th, 2008Jimmy Eat World will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its classic Clarity by playing the album in its entirety for 10 one-time-only shows beginning February 23 in New York City and concluding March 7 in the band’s native Arizona.
Released in 1999 to virtually no fanfare, Clarity gradually became the single most influential record of a generation. A recent SPIN article polled members of 17 bands ranging from Fall Out Boy to Yellowcard, all of whom cited Jim Adkins’ writing and performance on the record as a primary influence, while ALTERNATIVE PRESS noted, “Clarity would later become one of the most beloved emo albums of the ’90s.” Ironically, it was Clarity’s initial failure that put Jimmy Eat World on the path to their eventual success. Left to its own devices after being dropped by Capitol, the band built up a base via relentless touring which funded the recording of their 2001 breakthrough Bleed American, which went on to sell 1.5 million copies.
Pre-sale for the Clarity x 10 Tour will begin this Thursday, Nov. 13. For details, see JimmyEatWorld.com. General on sales begin Saturday Nov. 15, with the exception of San Francisco, which goes on sale Sunday Nov. 16, and Boston, which will go on sale at a later date to be announced.
