If you watched The Emmys, you probably saw a lot of shows that you had heard of. One exception might be Temple Grandin. A winner last night, and a winner in our eyes. Check out the trailer below.

Knight And Day
Tuesday, June 15th, 2010With Robin Hood, A-Team, and Karate Kid as the last movies I have seen, I am jonesing for a romantic comedy. Knight and Day, I hope, will be my fix. This action-comedy stars the lovely Cameron Diaz and the charismatic Tom Cruise. There is no one else I would rather go on a globetrotting, double-crossing, plane crashing, close call catching, love sparking adventure then these two. See for yourself.

Emma on PBS
Sunday, February 14th, 2010
The fabulous new adaptation of Jane Austen‚Äôs Emma on PBS‚Äôs Masterpiece series recently caught my eye and I fell in love with Romola Garai’s portrayal of Emma so much that I had to share this find with the Eliza girls.
If you’re not familiar with this Austen book, think back to 1995 and chances are you saw the fashionable hit Clueless and might not have known it was a modern day rendition of Emma. If you loved Clueless then most likely, you’ll enjoy this mini series. And like Clueless, you’ll be pushing the pause button to get a better look at Emma and the cast’s amazing (and modest) dresses and accessories.
All three episodes can be watched free HERE on the PBS website or you can click HERE to purchase the DVD box set, which I highly recommend.

Paper Heart
Thursday, January 14th, 2010I went to my Red Box¬†(the new Red Box App is awesome)¬†last night and picked up Paper Heart. It is a little slow and didn’t blow me away, but there were cute parts. Most of those parts came from Michael Cera, but the behind the scenes videos made me like Charlyne Yi more. Have you seen it? What are your thoughts?

December Movie Picks
Saturday, December 12th, 2009The Young Victoria, who doesn’t love movies about royalty?
Princess and the Frog, because you can take the whole family.
Twilight Saga’s New Moon and other Stephenie Meyer news.
Monday, December 7th, 2009I finally saw New Moon and am here with my report. As with many a Twilight fans world-wide, when I read the books, I devoured Twilight and then spent most of New Moon wondering when and if the Cullens were ever going to return. Amazingly, I felt the film did a great job at rectifying this problem with the amount of chemistry between Bella and Jacob.
(I know, I know. I had to pick the ONE picture of Jacob with his shirt on. I’m cruel, what can I say?)
Taylor Lautner’s boyish good looks and charming personality made the film move quickly and enjoyably through the absence of our favorite vampires. I can even almost understand where the idea of team Jacob comes from now. Almost… (LONG LIVE TEAM EDWARD! =P)
In other Stephenie Meyer related news, I’m excited to say that there is a possibility of The Host being turned into a trilogy! Big time YAY for that, because I am such a huge fan of this book! (And will be first in line to see the movie when it comes out!) If you happened to miss Stephenie Meyer’s one and only interview on Oprah, here’s a link to an interesting backstage interview where she talks about her upcoming projects.

Make sure you check it out, and if you have never read any further than the Twilight Saga, be sure to read The Host. You might just find you like it better. I know I do!
