Monday, October 5th, 2009I was surprised that most of the comments about virtue had to do with simplicity. Our lives get more and more complicated everyday. Are our schedules getting bogged down by important worth-while things or things that don’t matter?
The girls that brought us The Temptation Series are teaming up with Nickelodeon star Aria Wallace (iCarly and Roxy Hunter shows). They are encouraging teens to “go old school” ¬†by putting down their cell phones and logging off the internet. ¬†Wallace will be unplugged for 40 days, no cell phone, facebook, myspace, twitter, etc. You can see her struggles and insights here.
Going Old School caught my attention with so many women looking for simplicity in their life. The time we are spending on facebook or twitter, on your cell phone or in front of the t.v. could be the exact amount of time you need to find that simplicity. Do we really need to be so connected at all times? Unplugging could be exactly what you need.
